Class 2:
For handlers and dogs having passed the test from class one or who have demonstrated to the satisfaction of an instructor, their ability to work at this level
Class Two is designed to stretch your basic handler skills, and encourage you to have more faith in the things that you have achieved in class one. For example retrieve, recall, longer stays and the beginnings of positions on the move.
Training:
Heel on lead, including all turns
Introduce heel off lead
Sit and down stays (longer times)
Full novice recall
Temperament test
Introduction to retrieve
Introduction to Stand (according to ability)
Introduction to different paces of walking
Simple agility as inclination & ability allowed
Test will cover:
Heel on lead & heel off the lead to a reasonable standard at normal walking pace, full novice recall, temperament test, 1 minute sit and 2 minute down stays (dog off the lead) Please note for this test handlers will not be allowed to touch their dogs without penalty.
